Free Jam Jah CDs for the first 100 people through the door!
Jam Jah started off in 2001, taking over Ras Tweed’s Dub Wid a Difference night at the Custard Factory, and was quickly moved to the Bull’s Head where the Jam Jah Crew have provided a varied selection of reggae vinyl from across time and continents every single Monday of the year. Over 500 Mondays later, Jam Jah Sound has played all over the country, and Jam Jah Mondays have become the essential weekly link up in Moseley, and we will be celebrating 10 years in the business with the full crew including MCs from the Friendly Fire Music family.
Found this on the recorder’s memory card, and enjoyed listening back so I thought I’d share it – recorded at Jam Jah Mondays on the 3rd May 2011 , this one’s features Robin and Pablo Rider in a dancehall style, also showcasing the new unlreleased “KUYA MAN” riddim produced by Friendly Fire Music .
On the 25th October, Gregory Isaacs sadly passed away leaving a huge heritage of tunes. As one of the biggest legends, the “Cool Ruler” has too many hits to mention, and Jam Jah Mondays only played a very small selection as a tribute on the same night.
